Una van der Spuy’s well known Heritage garden attracts visitors from around the world. This garden style is informally designed for year-round interest. Seasonal visits are recommended, to get the true beauty of Old Nectar. Mature Maples and many other rare trees are of particular interest.
The lovingly restored Manor House makes the perfect backdrop for stunning wide angle and self-portrait photographs. A point of interest, the Pergola walkway pillars were built by Italian POW’s and are framed by a multitude of roses. The formal rose garden contains many spectacular old roses, which are no longer available.
There are ample wide-open spaces and also little hidden corners with tugged away garden benches. This is the perfect setting where you can soak in the tranquil atmosphere and enjoy your own refreshments. We encourage you to spend one to two hours in our garden.
