The Jamestown Housing project is an exciting mixed-used housing project that consists of different housing typologies, of which the first phase was subsidized housing. The subsidized housing phase was linked to the possible reduction of the informal settlements and backyarders by providing houses to the qualifying beneficiaries on the waiting list.
It must be noted that the Jamestown community received houses of great value with the extra enhancements to their houses that was built. Every house received a fence, paving in front of their houses and aluminum windows of a high standard.
