Event Details
In the Jonkershoek Valley, amongst old oak trees and wild olives lies the smallholding of Lingen.
Camelias, azaleas, hydrangeas and bush lilies amongst others grow in the shade of the trees. But it is the rose garden providing colour blocks of yellow, orange, red, purple and pastels that catches the eye in spring and summer. There are more than 1 200 roses that flower from October to late autumn. A large variety of salads and herbs grow in the vegetable garden, and higher up are indigenous bulbs and plants that lend colour for large parts of the year.
Stone paths link the different areas of the garden.
Visitors may explore by themselves or be joined by Correen if she is around.
Note: Wear comfortable shoes, as most paths are made of natural stone from the garden and are therefore a bit uneven. You can walk around freely.
