Using a formal layout and circular shapes that have become his trademark, Henk Scholtz, the designer, transformed this property into an inspiring landscape. From circular lawn in the middle of the garden, to pink terracotta planters on the southern side of the swimming pool, to circular spaces containing aloes, succulents, indigenous grasses and plumbago just beyond the fever tree forest, a sense of order prevails. The guests will enjoy strolling along the pathways and will enjoy the wildness of the northwest corner of the garden . There are several sculptures in the garden that wait to be discovered as you go along. Most of the plants in the garden are waterwise indigenous plants, some of which have been sculpted into interesting shapes. We decided to plant olive trees so that we could start our own olive oil label, and that has been quite rewarding!
